Beautiful day today for Long Island, and then some snow is possible for New England end-of-month:
Great weather continues the next few days for Long Island and the northeast. Some showers and breezy for Thursday night into Friday, and then sunny weather returns on Saturday.
Some of the models and ensembles are hinting at a chance of snow at the end of the month for the higher elevations and inland areas of central to northern New England and NY state.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Sunny with highs mostly in the mid to upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Light and variable wind at around 5 mph..
Tonight: Clear with lows mostly in the mid 30's in Nassau and low 30's in Suffolk. Light and variable winds of around 5 mph or less.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with highs mostly in the mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NE to ENE at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs mostly in the mid to upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NE at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with highs mostly in the mid 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind mostly out of the ENE at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower early in the morning with highs in the mid to upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Showers are expected at night.
Friday: Showers and breezy with highs in the upper 50's to around 60 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
