Comments on the Heat Advisory:

Yes, the hot and humid weather continues for our area, and my area in northern Nassau and also northwestern Suffolk finally have a Heat Advisory for tomorrow and Sunday for heat index temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees. However, it's ridiculous that there wasn't a Heat Advisory for these areas today since the heat index was over 100 degrees. The criteria for our area is that the heat index has to be 95 to 99 degrees for 2 consecutive days OR 100 to 104 degrees for any length of time. I strongly disagree with the 2-day rule. What does yesterday have to do with how hot and dangerous it is today? Also, we still should have had a Heat Advisory for today based on the 1-day criterion, but the National Weather Service underestimated how high the heat index would be, even though the HRRR model that I posted was showing it. Ok, that's it, carry on, LOL.
