- I have included some rainfall maps below. The initial line moves north through Long Island this morning with some showers, and most of the action should be west of us during the afternoon and evening, although a shower is always possible. It then it moves back into the area overnight and moves through tomorrow morning/afternoon with some locally heavy downpours. With some luck, it will end on Long Island from west to east in the late afternoon, but the timing is uncertain. I have included 5 future radar images from the NAM for a general idea.
- Hot and very humid from Sunday to Wednesday with the cold front coming through Wed night into Thursday night with showers and thunderstorms with some downpours. It's uncertain if the front will clear the area by Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, but basically Friday afternoon into probably Sunday (July 21st) look good with more seasonable temperatures and moderate humidity.
- Still nothing expected in the tropics for the next 2 weeks at least.
