Elsa strengthens!

- Tropical Storm Elsa now has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and some further strengthening is likely. There is an unusually high amount of uncertainty in both the track and strength, as noted by the NHC with ensemble tracks ranging from the Bahamas to the Yucatan and intensity ranges from a Cat 3 hurricane to dissipation. Elsa is currently moving very fast to the WNW at 28 mph.

- For Long Island, there will be periods of showers and thunderstorms today into tonight with more showers for tomorrow. Temperatures tomorrow may stay in the 60's! The 4th of July looks good with some sunshine with temperatures mostly in the mid 70's with only a slight chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon. Warmer on Monday and then hot for Tuesday and Wednesday.
