Ernesto is near hurricane-strength and expected to steadily intensify and become a major hurricane with max gusts expected to be near 140 mph! Bermuda and Nova Scotia/Newfoundland are in play.

- Ernesto will steadily intensify to a Cat 3 hurricane with the center probably passing just WEST of Bermuda and hopefully spare them from the strongest winds of the eyewall, but it's a close call! Then it will likely head towards eastern Nova Scotia and Newfoundland with major impacts expected there.

- Another nice day on Long Island and there will be a few scattered afternoon thunderstorms in New England this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.

- More humid on Friday and Saturday and especially on Sunday as scattered showers and thunderstorms slowly work their way east this weekend and into Monday.
