- A mild weekend ahead, but colder air will be filtering down into the northeast early next week as a low pressure system moves up from the south and west.
- The Euro makes it a very strong storm and has a good snowstorm for Long Island, but there's still only a low chance of that for now. The GFS does make it a strong storm too and has accumulating snow for Long Island. Even the Canadian model with a weaker storm has some snow for Long Island at the end. The timing for now generally looks like Monday evening/night into Tuesday afternoon.
- The ensembles and Model Blend still show the best chance for accumulating snow to be north and northwest of Long Island, so stay tuned. The Model Blend snow map did bring the snow farther south though (see second to last image).
- Colder weather then sticks around through President's Day weekend.
