Eye of Epsilon, outlook for next week, and a foggy night ahead for Long Island:

Here are a couple of amazing images of the eye of Hurricane Epsilon.

The 3rd and 4th images are the temperature and precipitation probability outlooks for October 27th to 31st.

The 5th image shows the projected overnight visibility.

Here is a Special Weather Statement issued by the National Weather Service for Long Island:

Special Weather Statement National Weather Service New York NY 743 PM EDT Wed Oct 21 2020

Fog will continue to expand through the night and will be locally dense, especially along the immediate coast. It is possible the dense fog will expand in coverage late tonight, necessitating the issuance of a dense fog advisory. Visibilities may be as low as as one quarter of a mile or less at times. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of space between you and the vehicle ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.
