***Generally improving conditions with a mostly dry 6-day stretch starting tomorrow and then maybe a nice start to the Memorial Day weekend on Friday and Saturday at least, and then we'll see.***

- The heavy rain is now north of Long Island as the storm is spinning just south of Long Island and will finally weaken and and head southeast out to sea later, but windy conditions persist today.

- There is a chance for a few inland showers from Friday night to Sunday morning with only a slight chance for a shower on Long Island.

- The next chance of showers looks to be Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
