- The heat is on in the northeast, but cooler for Long Island with the SSW breeze, especially for the south shore.
- Thunderstorms and even higher humidity will gradually work their way southward later in the week and reach Long Island Friday afternoon. While it will be humid the next few days, it will be even more humid for Long Island Friday into Monday.
- While the tropics look very active on the NHC map, it's really just Potential Tropical Cyclone One, which will likely become Tropical Storm Alberto and head into Mexico later this week as the system off the southeast coast has almost no chance at development, and the Euro ensembles have even backed off on the 2nd system in the southwestern Gulf.
