- An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Long Island from 11 AM to 11 PM for ground-level ozone, and there will also be some haze in the afternoon from wildfire smoke, and it will be a hot and humid summer day in mid-July with highs show in the 2nd image and the 2 PM heat index temperatures shown in the 3rd image.
- Humid again tomorrow and scattered afternoon thunderstorms in the afternoon should be mainly inland, but can't rule one out on Long Island.
- It looks a little less humid mid-week before increased humidity and some scattered showers/ thunderstorms late week before clearing out for the weekend with lower humidity on Saturday for my birthday and especially on Sunday.
- There is a slight chance of a tropical storm or hurricane forming in the Atlantic next week which could eventually head in the general direction of the southeastern United States. Plenty of time to watch how this may unfold.
