***Hot and humid today for Long Island with a very humid weekend ahead before a cold front Sunday night into Monday brings showers and storms, a nice Tuesday, and then another cold front for Thursday with beautiful and cooler weather for next Friday/Saturday and still nice next Sunday!***

- The heat index will get up in the upper 90's for northern and western Long Island today with temps in the low 90's. Cooler south and east, especially by late afternoon with the sea breeze. Any showers and storms should stay north of Long Island through at least 5 PM with may some scattered showers making it here in the evening. Keep an eye on the radar later today.

- The best chance for some showers and thunderstorms will be Sunday evening into Monday early afternoon with the cold front.

- Low humidity on Tuesday, but still warm!

- Showers and thunderstorms around Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon with the next cold front.

- Next Friday and Saturday look amazing with low humidity and comfortable temperatures.

- We still have the 2 systems in the tropics with the system heading towards the Georgia coast being small, but it has a chance to develop, but it's nothing major to worry about.
