- Heat index temperatures up to 100 degrees for northern/northwestern Long Island today.
- The main line of strong to severe thunderstorms inland will be making its way to the coast this evening with the potential for torrential downpours and gusty winds. The NAM has it reaching western Long Island by 8 PM and then weakening a bit as it heads through Suffolk after 9 PM. I will have many updates today, of course.
- Still very warm tomorrow afternoon, but slowly becoming less humid on Long Island, but the real low humidity air mass will arrive tomorrow night, so Friday is sunny with low humidity.
- Warmer for the weekend and becoming more humid on Sunday, but no rain is expected until Tuesday.
- It looks basically humid all of next week.
- No hurricanes are expected for at least the next 2 weeks.
