L.I. forecast with northeast storm maps and quieter weather next week before mid-month storminess:

- I have included the snow, precipitation, and wind maps below, as well as a timing video, for the storm later tomorrow into Saturday, and there aren't really any changes with the storm and for Long Island it will be a stormy Friday night with rain becoming moderate to heavy at times with wind gusts in the 35 to 45 mph range. Still can't rule out a very brief period of sleet mixing in tomorrow evening closer to the north shore.

- After 2 storms this week, next week will be quieter with some showers Monday night into Tuesday morning for Long Island, and then some relatively colder air arrives mid-week.

- We will see how any potential northeast winter storms evolve for next weekend and around the 15th/16th as the pattern will support it.
