- The official National Weather Service (NWS) snow map (only through 7 AM Tuesday) is shown in the 1st image, and it also includes snow from today and tomorrow in the northeast.
- I have also included the latest Model Blend and GFS snow maps through 7 AM Wednesday in the 2nd and 3rd images.
- The NWS is going with less than a half-inch for Long Island, and we will see how this plays out, but I am going with 1 to 3 inches right now with the highest amounts on the north shore of Suffolk. The NWS seems to be discounting the Euro and RGEM, which both show a prolonged period of snow Monday evening/night before eventually changing to sleet and then rain.
- The new 06Z Euro run is rolling out right now, and while I don't have all of the maps yet, it has not backed down at all from showing a colder solution with more snow for Long Island. The overnight run was showing 5 inches, and it seems like this run will show similar totals.
- I will continue to update with the latest information.
