Latest update on the storm with snow maps and the Long Island forecast:

- First, we have the colder air arriving today with temperatures falling all afternoon into the low to mid 30's on Long Island by late afternoon with wind gusts over 35 mph at times making it feel much colder. Then a very cold night ahead with lows mostly in the upper teens on Long Island with a decreasing wind.

- The weak system moving through tomorrow will likely produce snow showers tomorrow afternoon on Long Island with highs only around 30 degrees, and a light dusting in some spots can't be ruled out.

- Overall, not many changes with the storm for late Monday into Tuesday, although possibly a slightly warmer solution as both the GFS and Euro are showing lower snowfall amounts for southern New England, but let's see how it evolves. Nailing down the exact rain/snow line is difficult when it's 3 to 4 days away, but probably a period of snow on Long Island Monday evening, especially the north shore, with a light accumulation being possible before changing to sleet and then rain later at night. I have included some snow maps below, but the Euro snow map is a little funky, and I don't buy what it's showing for Long Island. The Model Blend probably gives a better indication.

***5:15 AM edit as the new GFS run is farther north with the snow. See the new snow map in the last image.***
