Long Island forecast and an update on the mid-week storm with snow to rain:

Writer's picture: My Personal Weatherman™My Personal Weatherman™

- The details for Long Island are in the forecast below, but basically some wet snow could mix in by mid to late afternoon away from the south shore as temps slowly drop into the mid 30's, but basically it's a non-event with no accumulations on the roads. For Wednesday, mainly snow with some sleet at times should develop between 10 AM and Noon from west to east and change to rain from south to north between around 3 PM and 5 PM, but there is time to fine-tune the forecast.

- I have included some maps below for today and also for the Wednesday into Wednesday night storm.

- It will also be a generally windy week (see Long Island forecast below).

- Fair weather this weekend for Long Island.

- As for snowstorm chances, we'll see how it evolves, but there might be a chance between around Feb 4th and Feb 6th.
