Long Island forecast and the latest snow maps:

- It generally looks like 1 to 2.5 inches of snow for Long Island. Higher snowfall totals of 3 to 5 inches to our south. I have included some of the latest National Weather Service snow maps below, and I'll post the map for the entire area a little later, as well as a future radar video showing the timing.

- A dry stretch then from Sunday into next week with milder temps mid to late week. Then there is the potential coastal storm next Friday into Saturday morning (see last image) with the best chance for snow being for central to northern interior New England, but it's highly uncertain, and I will be posting much more about it starting tomorrow.
