... tell the whole story, at least for Long Island, as it looks like a pretty good chance of slightly below average temperatures from the 21st to the 23rd with near average temperatures for around Christmas Eve (2nd and 3rd images) and Christmas Day and then maybe slightly above average temperatures for the 26th and 27th.
