... early Tuesday, and the tropics will become active starting late next week with potential hurricane Emily:
- The strong to potentially severe thunderstorms should be mostly inland tomorrow afternoon/evening, but Long Island has been included in the very slight tornado threat area. It seems like the timing for the stronger storms would be later tomorrow night, so they would weaken. A stray thunderstorm is possible in the afternoon though.
- There is the potential for heavy showers and thunderstorms late Monday night through Tuesday morning, but there is plenty of time to watch that and update on it.
- Wednesday to Friday looks great next week, as of now with mostly sunny skies and mostly low to moderate humidity.
- The tropics are about to start getting active later next week and the ensembles are showing the potential for 2 hurricanes later this month, and you can see the 15-day map in the 5th image.
