Not a great stretch ahead unless you like humidity and occasional periods of showers and t-storms:

Very warm to hot and humid today for Long Island, and there's a slight tornado threat in upstate NY later today (see 2nd and 3rd images). Storms will of course be weakening by the time they get to the coast later tonight, but there will be rounds of showers and thunderstorms for the next few days with less action on Saturday than tomorrow and especially Sunday. I have included the 4-day rainfall map below in the 4th image, but it's just to give a general idea as amounts will be highly variable with localized much higher and much lower amounts, even over short distances. I'll probably post a future radar video later this morning.
