The 1st and 2nd images are for 3 PM Friday, the 3rd and 4th images are for 5 PM Friday, and the last image is for 7 PM Friday. It looks like there is a period of close to 2 hours between the time the rain ends and when the temperature falls below freezing on Long Island with wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph from the W/WSW to help dry things out. Of course, puddles will freeze, but hopefully the roads will be treated. This is the general idea, but it will have to be fine-tuned when we get within range of the NAM and HRRR high-resolution models.
