Once we get through the rain, a generally great stretch ahead:

- The rain will be ending on Long Island by mid-morning from west to east and then in the afternoon for southeastern New England.

- Tomorrow and Saturday will be generally sunny with low humidity, with warmer temps on Saturday and into next week.

- More clouds on Sunday with some inland afternoon showers possible and then a chance of showers for the coast maybe at night.

- Generally dry early next week with increasing humidity by mid-week as a slow-moving front approaches, which will bring the chance of rain late in the week.
