- You can see the impressive wind gusts for Long Island from all of the Euro ensemble members in the 1st image, and those are in knots. The ensemble mean is 55 knots (63 mph). In that image you can also see the very light winds around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (see 2nd image) with sunshine as high pressure will be in control. - In the 3rd image you can get a general feel for the temperatures for Long Island for the next couple of weeks.
