Quick note from the new Euro ensembles on the potential upcoming storms:

Most of the Euro ensemble members have the Jan 11/12th storm head out to sea, but things can still change. However, it's the potential MLK weekend storm that has always intrigued me more, and the ensembles do show the potential storm (1st image) and with colder air in place. The potential timing is Jan 14th/15th, so it's a long way out still and will continue to evolve.

Recent Posts

New GFS run now showing up to 20 inches of rain in Florida over the next 10 days! This is a model run, not a forecast, but the Model Blend is now showing max amounts over 10 inches, so stay tuned.

Cold at night the middle of next week with temperatures in the 30°'s showing up away from the coast and at elevation and even some 20°'s for the mountain peaks 🥶

The new GFS run is showing as much as 18 inches of rain in central Florida over the next 15 days. See previous post for the full update and the Model Blend rainfall map for the next 10 days.
