While it's still a week away, a mostly or all rain event is likely for Long Island, but areas of the northeast still have the potential for a snowstorm, and I have included all 50 snow maps from the Euro ensemble members. As I mentioned in my early morning post, the colder air will retreat as the high pressure ridge to the north slides to the east as the storm moves in. This has the potential to be a long duration storm with it potentially lasting all weekend. The 1st image shows the storm locations/strengths from the Euro ensembles at 7 AM next Sunday, and you can see the uncertainty.
We also have the chance for a very minor snow event for Long Island from around 2 AM to 8 AM this coming Monday, and a coating of snow can't be ruled out.
I will have a brief update tomorrow morning probably by 4 AM.
