***Severe weather near Kentucky and Ohio with a wild nor'easter on the way for the northeast with heavy rain, a major snowstorm in the mountains, and strong wind gusts. Eclipse conditions still...

... look good for northern NY/New England, and much warmer next week.***

- A major severe weather outbreak today into tonight for the Ohio and Tennessee valley area with the potential for strong tornadoes, wind gusts up to hurricane-force, and large hail (see 2nd image).

- You all know about the storm for the northeast with rain, wind, and snow. The worst of the storm for Long Island will be tomorrow afternoon through tomorrow evening with heavy rain at times and wind gusts close to 50 mph. I have included snow, rain, and wind maps below, and I'll post the updated National Weather Service snow map this morning and also a future radar video for timing purposes.

- Viewing conditions for the eclipse on Monday afternoon still look good, especially for northern New England (see 3rd image).

- I'm sure many of you are looking forward to warmer weather next week (see last image for Long Island temps for the next 2 weeks)
