- The Winter Weather Advisory for Long Island is from 6 PM today to 1 PM tomorrow, and you can see the snow map for amounts with generally 2 to 5 inches with the highest for northern Nassau and northwestern Suffolk and the least on the south shore and east end. Wind gusts can also be up to 35 mph tonight. The NAM does have a warmer solution, so we will have to see if any mixing with sleet and an earlier change to rain holds down the totals a little.
- As for the Friday into early Saturday morning storm, there is still some uncertainty, but it could begin as snow/sleet on Long Island and change to rain, but there are still some models and ensembles that keep it as all snow, even for Long Island. I have included the Euro ensembles in the 4th and 5th images.
- I will have many more updates! I will also post the snow map for the entire northeast when it's updated, but I have posted the Model Blend snow map for the northeast in the 3rd image to give a general idea. I will also post a future radar video this morning to help with timing the storm.
