The latest on the weekend rain, the Long Island forecast, and the tropics:

- While the Model Blend and Weather Prediction Center are showing more rain for Long Island than the Euro and GFS, things are starting to become clearer with Long Island generally on the northern part of the storm with rain mostly from Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. The fine-tuning will take place as we get within range of the higher-resolution models like the NAM and HRRR.

- Early next week still looks cooler and unsettled as a piece of the upper level low lingers near the coast with the potential for a storm to form and bring some more rain.

- Temperatures rebound later next week, but the big question is will there be more rain for next weekend as the Euro has another storm bringing more rain.

- Tropical Depression Sean is disorganized and nothing to worry about, but the wave behind it actually has a legit chance to become a tropical storm and head towards the Caribbean islands, which is very rare for mid-October. If the system over the southeast that will race towards Bermuda doesn't become Tammy, then this one will. After that, the next name on the list is Vince.
