***This is the anniversary of 2 of the biggest blizzards on record***

- The 1993 Storm of the Century (March 12th to 15th): Some areas in the Appalachian Mountains had over 50 inches of snow with drifts up to 14 feet.


- The Great Blizzard of 1888 (March 11th to 14th): Drifts reportedly up to 30 feet. 58 inches of snow fell in Saratoga Springs, 48 inches in Albany, 45 inches in New Haven, and 22 inches in New York City. The storm also produced wind gusts up to 80 mph.
