- Hurricane Rafael is still a Category 2 hurricane, and you can see the track farther south and southwest as the Euro ensembles led the way with the National Hurricane Center continuing to adjust their forecast cone as they initially had it as a compromise between the GFS and Euro.
- Another warm day for Long Island today and becoming breezy with low humidity, but tomorrow will be windier with even lower humidity in the afternoon, so there is a chance for a Red Flag Warning, but there will definitely be an elevated risk of fire spread, especially away from the shore.
- Finally some showers Sunday evening into Monday morning for Long Island and the Mid-Atlantic/northeast. Mostly 0.15" to 0.4".
- Still a chance for a stronger front around next Thursday night with a period of more substantial rain and some wind. Lots of time to watch it.
