- Hurricane Beryl is a 145 mph Cat 4 and is heading towards Jamaica today with only slight weakening expected before it gets there, so it will be an extremely dangerous hurricane still!
- Gradual weakening will continue as it heads to the Yucatan, and then more significant weakening over land. There is now a little better confidence in a track towards Mexico, south of Texas with it likely becoming a hurricane again before landfall.
- Another nice day for Long Island and the northeast, and then humidity increases tonight into tomorrow with some scattered thunderstorms heading east, so there will be a slight chance for a thunderstorm on Long Island late in the day with a little better chance at night.
- VERY humid from Friday night into Saturday night with occasional showers and thunderstorms with heavy downpours possible as the front slowly works its way through Long Island. Sunday then looks pretty hot and dry with a little lower humidity.
