Update on both storms!

***Update on both storms with no big changes as it will be a snowstorm for mostly north and west of Long Island this weekend and then a major rain/wind storm with 2 to 3 inches of rain and potentially damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph late Tues into early Wed! Mild next week before colder air arrives mid-month and then the fun begins!***
- Now that we're within range of the NAM, RRFS-A, and HRRR, there are many maps/models to look at. While there aren't any big changes, the Euro did shift a bit north and now the NAM is more realistic with mostly rain Saturday night for Long Island with snow showers on Sunday. There will still be tweaks in the rain/snow line to the north. It will also be windy on Long Island Sat night with gusts up to 40 mph from the east before the wind shifts to a northerly wind towards Sunday morning.
- I have posted some snow maps, but I will post the updated NWS snow map for the entire northeast when it's updated, and I'll have more updates this morning into early afternoon, including a future radar video, before I go off the grid until this evening, and then I'll have more posts between 7:30 and 9:30 this evening.
- The late Tuesday into early Wednesday storm still looks crazy with a period of very heavy rain and very strong wind gusts, especially along the coast and at higher elevations. Any snow at higher elevations in the northeast will quickly change to rain from south to north.
- It will generally be milder next week into next weekend before colder air arrives around the middle of the month, and then there should be chances for a winter storm.
