Update on Ernesto and Long Island/ northeast weather:

Writer's picture: My Personal Weatherman™My Personal Weatherman™

Beautiful day in the northeast with no heat waves in sight and Ernesto to become a powerful hurricane and threaten Bermuda with no other hurricanes for at least the next 10 days:

- A beautiful day ahead with low humidity for Long Island and the northeast. More humid by Friday and humid this weekend with periods of showers and thunderstorms, especially away from the coast. The Model Blend rainfall map for the next 10 days is shown below to give a general idea.

- Tropical Storm Ernesto will become a hurricane after it passes Puerto Rico and turns northward towards Bermuda, and it's going to be a very close call for Friday night into Saturday. Still hoping the eyewall can avoid Bermuda either to the east or west. The new Euro run has a major hit from the eyewall with the eye passing barely west of Bermuda.
