***Update on Kirk, future Leslie, low-potential Milton for the Gulf, the Long Island forecast with tranquil weather for now in the northeast with a potential storm/cold front/wind early next week.***

- It's hard to believe how fast time goes, but we've made it to October and I know many of you really enjoy this time of year, so try to make the most of each day because life is too short and nothing is ever guaranteed.

- You all know about Kirk and how it will become a large and powerful hurricane later this week and curve north and out.

- Leslie will likely form later this week and also become a hurricane and possibly a major hurricane. It does have a slight chance to make it kind of close to the northeastern Caribbean islands, but it should be ok, although I will be watching it closely.

- Regarding the Gulf and Florida, the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center is still at a 40% chance of tropical development within the next 7 days. I do think it will probably become a tropical storm (Milton?), but the big impacts would likely be a lot of rain, probably for central to southern Florida next week, but there is a lot of time to watch it.

- Tranquil weather overall for the northeast through this weekend, and then there looks to be a cold front with a potential storm developing near or off the New England coast for Monday into Tuesday. This will bring the potential for some heavy rain and gusty winds. The Euro solution is kind of wild right now, so let's see the new afternoon run, and I will be posting updates. Maybe I'll make a separate post in a few hours to show what the Euro is showing.
