... tropics with Vince expected to form***
- The breeze will be noticeable today. - A cold night again tonight. - Much milder Thursday with sunshine. - On Friday we have the cold front approaching from the northwest and the intensifying storm coming up from the south off the coast. It should still pass well east of Long Island, but it will come closer to Cape Cod and be a strong storm for eastern Maine and for Nova Scotia. The Model Blend rainfall amounts have increased, but I think they are too high for Long Island, so I am only including the Weather Prediction Center rainfall map below. - The pre-Thanksgiving system is still uncertain, and I think the 10-day Model Blend snow map is too aggressive for interior New England, so I won't post it yet. The overnight models seem to have backed off on the snowfall. - It looks like chilly weather for Thanksgiving weekend. - I have posted the NHC map and Euro ensembles for the tropics so you can see the projected track/strength. - More posts to come today, of course!
