Good morning and Happy Friday! It's good to be home, and I'll have more updates as time permits, but the warm and dry conditions continue in the northeast. As for the tropics, the Tropical Depression is struggling with dry air and may or may not barely become Tropical Storm Gordon, but it's nothing to worry about. The system off the southeast coast has a slight chance to acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics next week, but it will bring a lot of rain for the southeast and lower Mid-Atlantic coasts. I have posted the 10-day rainfall maps from the Euro and Model Blend below. The tropics should become active again at the end of the month into October.
