Update on the showers/storms, humidity, L.I. forecast, weekend, tropics, and the 4th of July

- The chance for a shower or thunderstorm remains today and tonight and then a chance of an afternoon/evening shower or thunderstorm tomorrow, and then Thursday and Friday should remain dry on Long Island with only a slight chance of an afternoon shower with slightly lower humidity.

- The weekend looks humid with occasional showers, especially later on Saturday and into Sunday with a chance for a thunderstorm. However, there is some uncertainty as to exactly when the rain would start on Saturday as the Euro is showing it basically holding off until Saturday evening, and the GFS has the rain start early in the morning.

- The remnants of Cindy may still re-generate into a tropical system, and it's headed towards Bermuda and then Nova Scotia.

- As of now, the 4th of July looks good with highs mostly in the mid to possibly upper 80's on Long Island, and it will be humid.
