- While the Air Quality from smoke will be worse to the west, an Air Quality Alert has been extended until midnight tonight for Long Island. The 2nd image shows the Air Quality as of 3 AM.
- Overall though, today and tomorrow will be nice with highs mostly in the low 80's and only moderate levels of humidity.
- While Saturday will be mostly cloudy overall and more humid, there's really only a 30% chance of a couple of showers; most of the day should be dry.
- The really unsettled and humid weather is from Saturday night into the 4th of July with occasional periods of showers and thunderstorms with the chance for heavy downpours in any showers/thunderstorms. All 3 days won't be washouts, but there will be periods with rain, kind of like the stretch we just had. It does look warmer for Monday and Tuesday with highs mostly in the low to mid 80's.
- The nicer and even warmer weather looks to be next Wednesday to next Friday with highs possibly in the mid to upper 80's overall.
