***Update on the thunderstorms/downpours tonight, the humid weekend with some more downpours, next week as we approach the 4th of July, and the potential HURRICANE!***

- Another hot day today for many areas today and with more humidity for coastal areas. Much cooler for southern and eastern Suffolk with the sea breeze.

- While there is a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon, the main action is tonight, and for Long Island the timing looks to be mostly after 9 PM and even later out east. With some luck, they should be able to get in at least most of the Yankee-Met game tonight. There will be some very heavy downpours at times later at night with a slight chance for locally strong wind gusts. The inland slight tornado threat has decreased even further.

- The front is a little slower to clear tomorrow morning, but there will be some sun Thursday afternoon, but it will still be at least moderately humid.

- The chillier air comes in tomorrow night, and Friday will be amazing with low humidity and comfortable temperatures.

- The weekend will become very humid with periods of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, and there will be some locally heavy downpours!

- Low humidity and not as warm again then behind the front for early next week.

- Another front will approach the area for around Wed night or on the 4th of July, so it will become warmer and more humidity and there will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm at some point, but it's still 8 days away.

- We have the 2 systems in the tropics, but it's the second one that has the higher potential with it having a good chance to become a hurricane and affect land. I have included the NHC map below and also the Euro ensembles for the next 10 days. It needs to be watched closely for the Caribbean and the Gulf coast/ southeastern states, so stay tuned.
