Update on the tropics and the Long Island forecast as the rain and wind continue for now:

- No tropical threats are expected for the United States for the next 10 days. Invest 91L looks like it may develop once it gets into the south-central Caribbean Sea, but it looks like it will keep heading west towards Nicaragua/Honduras. Invest 92L in the eastern Atlantic may become a short-lived Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm Julia before it dissipates as it heads into the center of the Atlantic, where it may have a chance to re-generate, but it's of no concern for the United States.

- The rain and wind continue today with wind gusts up to 35 mph on Long Island. No changes to the forecast really as we have dry weather starting on Thursday with lows 70's generally for Thursday and Friday. The cold front comes through Friday night, so only in the upper 50's and breezy/windy on Saturday and then we warm up a little each day heading into next week.
