Update on thunderstorms, the hot/humid weather, the tropics, and comfortable weather next week:

- The strong thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will be inland and to the north of Long Island (see 2nd image for 5 PM), and tomorrow afternoon and evening they will be farther south and east (see 3rd image for 8 PM tomorrow).

- The main story is the coming hot and humid weather later this week with it peaking on Friday with oppressive conditions. There is still some uncertainty as to exactly when the cold front comes through with thunderstorms, so stayed tuned. The Euro and Euro ensembles still have it hot and humid on Saturday with cooler and MUCH less humid conditions early next week.

- The next system in the tropics will likely become Emily and so far it looks like it could eventually be a threat to Bermuda (see 4th image), but there is plenty of time to watch it.
