Updated forecast with some comments on potential timing of showers and thunderstorms/ downpours:

- The models are generally showing some scattered showers for Long Island tomorrow between around 3 AM and 11 AM with the afternoon basically being dry with some partial sunshine. Then there is the potential for showers and thunderstorms with potentially heavy downpours later in the evening, but the timing may be too late which would have them weaker as they arrive here. The 2nd and 3rd images are for 10 PM tomorrow from the HRRR and NAM.

- Monday also looks mostly dry with some partial sunshine with the best chance of some scattered showers/ thunderstorms during the evening.

- It will also be very humid from tonight into Tuesday morning.

- Then the heat arrives for Tuesday to Thursday.
