Crazy humidity for Saturday into Saturday night for Long Island (also very humid Friday as well), and with a nearly stalled frontal boundary, there will likely be a few showers and thunderstorms in the area, especially later in the day or in the evening and at night. With the precipitable water values shown in this map for late Saturday night, any shower/thunderstorm could produce a torrential downpour. It's too soon to tell if the frontal boundary will clear the area briefly Sunday afternoon for a hot and mostly dry day with only slightly less humidity before the front buckles back over the area with the return of crazy humidity and a few showers and thunderstorms. I'll refine the forecast and post it with my post by 5 AM tomorrow.
