- The NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center is still at 60%, but you can see now from the Euro ensembles that it is now much more likely that it enters the eastern Gulf. Very slow movement and development though and most of the Euro ensembles don't make it a hurricane, but we will be dealing with this all of next week as well. Stay tuned! Check out some of the rainfall amounts for the next 10 days in the 4th image!
- Very hot day today for Long Island and the NYC area with some elevated wildfire smoke, which could make for some slightly hazy skies, and it will be humid, but not crazy humidity.
- Very high humidity then for tonight into Sunday night. Could be a thunderstorm late tomorrow or in the evening, but a better chance for some heavy showers and thunderstorms at times over the weekend with locally heavy downpours. The best chances look to be late in the day and in the evening as well as early morning, but timing these out is almost impossible, so please keep an eye on the radar if you have outdoor plans.
- Some lower humidity should arrive in time for Tuesday next week and not nearly as warm with highs mostly in the low 80's for the middle to end of next week and maybe we struggle to reach 80 degrees, especially in Suffolk, for a day at the end of next week.
