Welcome to Friday the 13th! Update on the eastern New England snow and the storm for late next week:

- It looks like the snow from the offshore storm on Sunday may only skim Montauk with some light snow or flurries with some snow accumulations for eastern New England. Initially it will be for southeastern MA and then the storm will curl back closer to Maine, so there will likely be some snow and ice up there Sunday night through Monday night as it could be a snow to freezing rain to snow scenario.

- Also, for Long Island, it will basically be cold and breezy/windy all weekend, especially in eastern Suffolk.

- There will be a very weak system for later Tuesday into Tuesday night with some light scattered showers for Long Island with some light snow for northern NY/New England.

- The next storm will arrive around Thursday afternoon on Long Island with rain, and northern New England will probably get an accumulating snow Thursday night into Friday

- Overall, besides the light snow potential for Montauk on Sunday, there is no snow in sight for Long Island.
