Welcome to July!! Update on the Long Island/ northeast weather with nice weather now ahead of the humid stretch to come, and the latest on Hurricane Beryl, Chris, and the system behind Beryl:

Writer: My Personal Weatherman™My Personal Weatherman™

- Behind the cold front, we now have a nice few days with low humidity and mostly sunny skies, although there is still a chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm this afternoon from eastern Long Island to southeastern MA.

- Humidity increases later in the week with Friday and Saturday probably being the 2 most humid days. The 4th of July looks good with only a slight chance of an evening shower or thunderstorm.

- There will be some showers around later Friday or Friday night from the warm front and then maybe some thunderstorms later on Saturday or in the evening from the cold front.

- Tropical Storm Chris formed last night and has already made landfall in Mexico.

- Invest 96, which is the system behind Beryl, may or may not become a Tropical Storm. The Euro ensembles are not impressed at all!

- Hurricane Beryl leveled off in intensity and has weakened slightly as it underwent an eyewall replacement cycle. It's still a very dangerous hurricane though. It will gradually weaken as it makes its way across the Caribbean Sea, but it will remain a hurricane until landfall in the Yucatan.
