***Welcome to March! Very active pattern ahead with 2 storms on the horizon with plenty of rain and also some snow and ice possible for parts of the northeast.***

- Enjoy the tranquil day today with blue skies and sunshine!

- Tomorrow is a washout for Long Island with 0.5 to 1 inch of rain, less north (see 2nd image).

- Very mild on Sunday with highs in the 60's to the west and southwest of NYC.

- The next bigger storm is then for Thursday into Friday in the northeast with the potential for up to 2 inches of rain on Long Island and possibly a significant amount of icing in the mountains (see 3rd image from the Euro for Thursday afternoon/evening). It's still uncertain, so stay tuned.

- Then there will likely be another storm for next weekend (possibly into Monday, March 11th) sometime. It's even more uncertain, but it has the potential to bring snow to some areas, with the best chance of course being in the mountains, but there could even be snow farther south. See last 2 images for 15-day snow maps from the Euro ensemble members, but even the 10-day Model Blend snow map (4th image) is showing the snow now to the north in the northeast.
