***Wild storm on the way with major sleet and snow to the north and a High Wind Watch, Flood Watch, and Coastal Flood Warning for Long Island. Still looks pretty good for northern New England for the eclipse on Monday, and it will be mild next week with more rain/wind late in the week.***
- I've included the snow, precipitation, and wind maps below. Very stormy evening for Long Island with wind gusts possibly approaching 60 mph from the E/ENE with periods of very heavy rain. Generally 2 to 2.75 inches of rain for Long Island. Also widespread moderate to locally major coastal flooding!
- The strongest wind gusts are generally for Long Island, the New England coast, and in the mountains.
- Much nicer weather on Sunday, and especially on Monday for the eclipse, although we still have to watch some clouds streaming in from the southwest.
